    1. single payer is the most efficient.

    2. PPACA is less efficient than single payer but more efficient than the current system

    3. The current system is less efficient than single payer of PPACA.

    Moving Medicare from #1 to #2 makes it less efficient.

    Moving everyone else from #3 to #2 makes it more efficient.

    Moving everyone from #3 to #1 would be the most efficient.

    Granted, that's too complicated for anyone in DC to understand, or at least that's that they pretend, because "more efficient" also means "less profit for the insurance companies"

      Perfect explanation.

      Liberals are hardly infatuated with PPACA's structure, despite whatever "SquirrelWhisperer" was implying.

      Clearly heavily regulated exchanges are better than laissez-faire, and single-payer is better than that. Anything that moves in the opposite direction should rightly be criticized.
