  •  it's called being in the right place (none)
at the right time and knowing the right people.

We went to an excellent high school and Dina pledged the right sorority at UT.  She got the right internships in Austin and so logically she was pretty well set going to DC.  We both arrived in DC in 1995, right after the republican revolution and Dick Armey was the leading congressional republican at the time and a Texan.  I'm sure she started out answering phones and whatnot, but I think right now her ethnicity and her unswearving loyalty to the Bushies is what keeps her as a hot commodity.  She gushes in our high school magazine about how fabulous Laura and George are and what an honor it is to work for them (gag). But they've been trotting her around in all of the arab publications and she's made trips to the middle east on behalf of the WH.

    •  Her and Karen Hughes (none)
So, the White House thinks it is a smart strategy to send Karen Huges and Dina Delay to Arab countries to enlighten them on what all they could be if they were just more like America. It's just one more scary, stupid thing in a long line of stupid, scary things coming out of the Bush administration.

the original post mentioned a high school classmate, Dani Delay Ferro.  My responses mentioned my high school classmate Dina Habib Powell. 2 different people.
