    I hope the photographer was compensated fairly for use of the image. Photoshopping someone else's photo and calling it your 'art' is a stretch to me, let alone bastardizing it in a controversial way.

      Ted Soqui took the photograph

      Soqui says he's only "stoked, pleased and honored" to have contributed to the historic issue.

      Fairey has been posterizing other people's images for a while. Art or not art is a question left to art critics. Warhol had the same charges leveled a him.
