  •  Dishonest liars (6+ / 0-)

will make all sorts of claims. That doesn't make them true.

They were making that claim before the tax holiday, they will always make claims like that, they are the enemy.

I chose that word carefully. They are not our political opponents, they are the enemy of the American way of life.

I hope that the quality of debate will improve,
but I fear we will remain Democrats.

if that's true and it gains traction, we're too stupid to govern ourselves, i guess. Payroll tax was chosen
because that's the ONLY Federal tax that a significant number of people making under 100k pay. Payroll tax was the only way to target every American worker in a way that got the money where it was needed.

So to satisfy your speculative bombast, we should take $1000 (soon $1500) out of the pockets of the average American working family?

I have to ask: are you a parent who falls into this category?

a pending ad hominem style fallacy at the end. When you have a comment that is actually pertinent to the discussion, and isn't laden with veiled or explicit insults I'll respond accordingly.

        •  I wonder if those on this site who are against (0+ / 0-)

the payroll tax cut  don't need the extra $1000 to $1500 in their pocket.

I mean there have been many subscriptions given as gifts on this site, so obviously they can afford more than those who would receive the payroll tax cut.

If you do not benefit from this, then I suggest you not give us your opinion, it would be totally selfish.

        •  Wrong. Rebate check was another way (0+ / 0-)

          spinning doesn't help your argument.

I afault for either as neither has a good multiplier effect.   We are walking dead into a trap.
