The basis of the lawsuit is that 300K people got switched between even and odd numbered State Senate Districts, which means that they don't get to vote for their state Senator for 6 years instead of the normal 4, which is far more than is required by population shifts. The 1980 map got thrown out for similar reasons and far fewer people suffered from "odd-even disenfranchisement" under that map, so there should be a fairly strong case. However, the supreme court has probably moved to the right in that time frame, so who knows.

I can state with confidence that if the courts change anything, it will be the Kenosha / Racine districts. The Republican Map took two county districts that were lean / likely D and turned them into a Republican rural district and a Kenosha / Racine city Democratic vote sink, switching a ton of people between the odd numbered 21s and the even 22nd. If the court intervenes here, Mason will get a lean D district similar to the current one that basically follows the contours of Racine county to run for reelection in in 2014.
