I don't want this guy to become Pres.  Neither do all of the GOP bankers.

But consider this:  Leon Panetta is going to be on 60 Minutes next Sunday to discuss how icky, horrible, heinous and terrible Iran is because they are very close to having nuclear bombs.

Ron Paul had the courage to say ONE thing correctly:  That he can hear the drumbeats of war against Iran and that he doesn't like it.

Even Iranian activists are against this crazy idea, because when the US threatens Iran, average Iranian citizens are more likely to support the status quo.

Ron Paul isn't going to become President.  Ever.  But just in this one case only he is saying the right thing.

that he may be right about. But, all the many things which makes him a pariah to any reasonable progressive negates the value of anything he might say that you agree with.

if he won't be pouts, why care that he's right on Iran?  Especially if he's right for the wrong reasons.  And why not just argue againt war with Iran (someplace else)and leave the racist Paul out of it.  To do otherwise is simply saying my pet issue is more important than yours.  The rosy of ear with Iran seems in any event attenuated.

...a stopped clock is right twice a day and the dumbest squirrel can still find a nut.

Even though I do agree with some of his stands on, say, war and imperialism, he'd pretty much have to be the best white friend black people ever had, or one of the best (we're talking Hugo Black here), to overcome all of this (like Justice Black did).  And I'm not seeing it.
