    that all of Beethoven's odd numbered symphonies are tumultuous in nature, and the even numbered ones are far more calm in their demeanor?

    At least that is how I have found them to be...

      They call the odd ones the "male" symphonies, the even ones the "female" symphonies, for whatever help gender attributions give to it.

      I'm a big ol' fan of Symphony #6. Which never struck me as feminine.  Just more graceful.
