    ...description fails. But I take your point, David. I just hope that every future mention of Paul that doesn't refer to him as a racist, heterosexist, xenophobe gets the same scrutiny as my description of Kirchick.

      people policing your words, but I spose that's part of the price you pay for being a respected voice of conscience around here.

      It was probably unfair of me to jump on your benign description of him, and for that I apologize, but it triggered my anger over what you can probably tell is an important issue for me, and for you too I'm sure: the fact that people who both traffic in anti-Muslim bigotry and support racist policies that have led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Muslims are still held in esteem, including by many liberals. (Not you.)

      I think some things do should disqualify you for office and lead liberals to reject you; I've made it clear that I think Paul's newsletters, which he initially defended are one such thing. I wish anti-Muslim imperialism were another.
