We allied with Britain and the USSR to fight the Axis, the alliance could easily have included the CSA.

Libertarianism at its core is a patent fraud. The principle that people and their enterprises should be free so long as they're not causing harm requires the libertarians to demand that society be constrained to the most antiquated technology and knowledge when measuring harm, while demanding that for the pursuit of profit and happiness people and businesses should have the most advanced knowledge and technology.

It's nothing more than a set of excuses for getting away with injurious theft. Not a thing more.

American society has always had at any given era knowledge to detect and measure more harm from pursuit of happiness than it should have regulated even under a libertarian government, if libertarianism were remotely honest.

Then there's the lies from American libertarians about taxing to pay for promotion of the general welfare being a crime of violence, when it's first cited as a foundational purpose of the Constitution and second specifically authorized as a power of Congress.
