    there are rules if you handle "card-not-present" credit card transactions, and one of them is that credit card data stored on a computer has to be encrypted.  I remember dealing with this when I worked for the Democratic party here.  

    Here's an idea: how about the people run the government and the corporations can line up for whatever we leave for them.
