    ...and know that he, too, called it the war on some drugs. Did he invent the "trademarking" of it? It's something I have  used for years as well, but did not know its origin. I'm always interested in first references.

      But he was the first person I saw to use it.  With Bob it seemed to really fit into his whole linguistic scheme of things.  Let me see what I can pull up and get back to you.

      So I checked with a mutual friend of mine and the late RAW who did his Master's dissertation on him.  He didn't know when he started using it, but he did say that Bob and the late Dr. Leary both used it, and of course Bob did a lot of writing with/for him.  So I don't know if he coined it or not, but I think Leary died around 1996, so it at least goes back into the '90s.
