  •  A few years back I was asking why we were being (20+ / 0-)

    forced to make good on Monopoly money that was being held by financial investment institutions.  It was always funny money to me as it did not represent any real, concrete value.

    Imaginary wealth backed by claims on dubious assets suddenly turned into real wealth backed by claims on highly creditworthy counter parties - our governments

    My other question, back then, when this was starting to become apparent, is where do the super wealthy expect expect to live once they have bankrupted and destabilized the governments that made them possible?  What do they think they will be able to buy in an economy too poor to sustain manufacturing?  

    Don't they realize that there is no end game?  There is no winning once you have robbed and destroyed the civilisation that made your wealth possible.

    What they will need then will not be meaningless pieces of paper declaring their wealth, they will need an armory.
