  •  Obama's defense of the psychopaths in charge (4+ / 0-)

i.e. the famous " savvy businessmen" idiocy told you pretty much everything you need to know.

the fact that we're all supposed to suck it up and ignore Obama's complete lack of interest in going after the banksters tells you why things are never going to change.

Obama inflicted a lot of misery on people by protecting the banks at all costs and "deficit reduction".  An argument that "McCain" would have been worse is cold comfort.

The president is not on your side.

Forget the president, we have to elect a congress that will do the right thing, and that's going to be swimming upstream as long as 40% of the people I grudgingly call my fellow Americans continue to vote people into office who are doing direct harm to them.

power is much bigger than the three branches of government. Wall street wields very real power in this game. PBO could not elude the first trap set by the Banksters, but he is too smart to put his head in their noose on your behalf. Quit trying to change Obama, and get to work changing your neighbors.

to stay in his Administration.  That goes beyond political expediency.  Obama believes what the banksters are selling.

PBO isn't engaged in political expediency. He's engaged in political survival.

It all depends on how powerful you think the Republicans are. If you believe that they were mortally wounded in 2008, then PBO looks pretty feckless.

If you believe that RepubliCorp's political power; their power to raise money, influence public opinion and affect the outcome of elections remained largely intact, then your assessment of PBO's record will be more like mine.

I'm sorry he didn't turn out to be the Anti-Bush that you thought you were voting for in 2008. I voted for a Democrat who looked capable of establishing a beachhead in hostile territory for the start of a long and difficult campaign.

"Take a walk with me,” he (Obama) said to Carole Sonnenfeld Geithner, within earshot of others.

Their stroll on the South Lawn was Mr. Obama’s last step in a lengthy effort to keep her husband, Timothy F. Geithner, as secretary of the Treasury for the rest of the president’s term. Having worn down Mr. Geithner, Mr. Obama wanted to explain why it was important that her husband delay his return to New York.

These aren't smart people, they're just greedy people.

    •  Sociopaths are the problem all else (0+ / 0-)

is a distraction and the sociopaths know this.  We will accomplish nothing until we recognize what the true problem is.....sociopaths rise to the top.  Deal w/the sociopath problem and all other problems either disappear or are manageable.
