  •  I especially get scared ... (4+ / 0-)

when I hear "progressives" blaming Obama for things over which he had no control like the Defense Bill.  Say he had vetoed it.  It passed in the Senate by 100-0, or so I've been told.  There is this little problem of the Legislative Branch.  Yes the bill has several crappy elements, but I would blame this to a large extent on the Congress.  Vote the idiots out!  What's that you say?  Your Congressman/Senator is too good for his district/state to throw out?  Well that is certainly the problem, isn't it?  We deserve the people that we vote for.  Beside the majority of the American public is behind doing ANYTHING to protect our "security."  Thus they will continue to elect people that they think are not "soft" on terrorism, no matter how it shreds the Constitution.

with certain areas of Obama's presidency, namely a lack of willingness to support in any way an investigation of the crimes of the Bush administrations. But clearly most Americans just didn't care. That's heartbreaking, but it's just how people are.

I do, however, have faith that if US citzens started getting disappeared, during this or any administration, the people would notice and there would be a violent if necessary revolution in short order and the people would prevail.

If government actually ever became the kind of enemy to it's own people that Alex Jones types think it could, we would not stand for it. I don't see it having to go that far, but if it did, the American spirit would prevail and tyranny would be defeated. No doubt in my mind.

reality of how bad America's global plans are.

He has - within his ability - curtailed much; while understanding that radical change breaks about unwelcomed (and uncalculable) chaos.

Given the pathway we were headed upon and the path we could have continued down - Obama's administration has done an excellent job.

Don't get me wrong, I think he's done an exceptional job under the most difficult of circumstances. He gets far too little credit for what he's accomplished.

Whenever I read or hear someone say "he's in over his head, he's incompetent, he's a failure", it pisses me off more than words can describe because it is so utterly disingenuous.

We, most of us in this earthly realm, lack the character trait of humanity's quest to be better humans. The way most try to exhalt themselves - is by the disengenuous and incongruous tear down of others; that, in and of itself is a recipe of failure.

Akin to O'Neil beating up Michael Fox -

            Yes, he was the victor
            but, of what?!?!?!

Pointing out how weak in character he was in the purported effort.

Until we stop being petty, snide for snide's sake and make narcissism a known evil trait - we will not grow enough to expand our minds.

I have always believed that the reasons we only use a small percentage of our minds capacity - is the block comes from ourselves!
