  •  I was thinking about diarying it once I get all (4+ / 0-)

the data together but through my research thus far, in the past 5 years, more people have won a million dollars or more than have profitted from a business they created over the prior 5 years. Yeah, upward mobility through starting a small business is less common than winning the lottery...Put that on a bumper sticker.

    •  I must be reading this wrong (0+ / 0-)

I know personally fourteen people who have built small business in the past five years that now support them, including myself, and we live in Michigan.  I don't know anyone who's won more than $1000 on the lottery in my lifetime.

How did you come up with your conclusions?

      •  That's interesting. (0+ / 0-)

What kind of business? How did they get financing to start up? Did they already have jobs before that? How do they advertise said businesses? Just asking because it's interesting.

Where are all the jobs, Boehner?
