    the National Weather Service is not provided for in our Constitution.  The NSF, NASA, NOAA, USGS and the NWS - collectively, ALL the government organizations that bring us the weather - are all extra-constitutional entities that, to the mindless ideologues on the right, have come to represent further big-government entitlements to the American people.  

    How dare we have the right to know the weather without directly paying some private enterprise for it?  The federal government shouldn't be involved in dispensing that information for free.  That's socialism!  Only people who can afford to know the weather should be allowed to buy it and benefit from it.  

    Where does it say in the US Constitution that knowing whether we'll need an umbrella tomorrow - or sandbags - is an inalienable right?  

    It doesn't.
