    most of all, practice. He could have gotten 90% of what he wanted with very little protest and zero attention from the national media, but he didn't want to make nice. If he hadn't been so arrogant, he would still have a solid Senate majority.

    He was wrong, but politicians are wrong all the time and get away with it. Dreyfus was wrong half the time and Thompson almost always was, but they both were willing to cut a deal. Nobody walked out of Thompson's office feeling like they'd just been sucker-punched by a punk with two bodyguards.

    Walker's raw hubris has already cost Kapanke and Hopper their senate seats and a couple more Republikochs will go down in the next round of recalls.
