I'm surprised youre not advocating attaching their future salaries for any damage they did in the war.
I'm a liberal Democrat and I honor veterans.

    •  Probably attaching salaries is going too far (0+ / 0-)

But how about requiring the good vets to at least testify against the bad ones? In civilian life if you know of a crime and do not report it, you are violating the law. Should we expect any less from a vet?  I think not.

Supporting the Constitution is more than just following orders.

Theoleman: what you suggest is much harder than attaching salaries. In Vietnam, the Capt. William Calley trial revealed for all to see the horrors of war and the direct part American soldiers had in commiting war crimes. Soldiers testified against each other because some had refused to participate in war crimes and were compelled to testifiy against those who did. I think it did much good for people to see what had been done in their name.

You're right that supporting the Constitution is more than following orders but refusing to follow them may result in a trial for treason.

you know, you only read "Its All the Veteran's Fault" Diaries here on Kos, you don't see them anyplace else. What does that tell us?

I don't need any bullshit lectures from you about supporting the Constitution
