  •  You do not see (7+ / 0-)

You do not see a national biamist movement for marriage.

You do not see dogs, chickens, horses, barkin, cluckin and bayin for marriage with sick twisted animal abusers.

You do see a national movement for marriage of TWO consenting adults no matter what gender they are.

You do see on regular basis hear of gay couples "marriage agreements" being ignored by gay couples familys of origin.

And that can exclude one gay partner from all property attained during their "marriage".

rick needs to stop visualizing sexual acts and start visualizing social injustice.

      To mention gawd.

Keep that creep out of my govenment. The bible is no way to govern and is way too easy to amend, unlike the Constitution.

    •  Don't fall into Santorum's trap though... (3+ / 0-)

He tries to frame the question (as do all of this bigots) as one of 'right to happiness'.

That's really not what this is about. His argument is a strawman. Polygomy or whatever has never been shown to be a biological imperative in humans. The biological components to homosexuality are rather undeniable.

Thus marriage equality is about 5th amendment rights for all to be judged equally under the law. And since we as a nation of anointed marriage as special, same gender unions must be recognized as well.

    •  Yep--if it's "differentiation" he wants (0+ / 0-)

it's no stumper: the "same" in same-sex marriage obviously refers to quality (the gender of the persons involved). But Santorum's inept dialectic, his failed parallel, refers to quantity (why not three?), which is a apropos of nothing, least of all same-sex marriage--for same-sex marriage makes no reference to quantities. That's it!

Quality & quantity are two separate categories by which a whole lot of things are differentiated. In scientific studies they are two distinct means of measure. This fellow is clueless.

      God bless our tinfoil hearts
