I've been to the von Mises site and every time I spend any time reading there I end up thinking what a load of pseudo intellectual crap.

    •  Odd, I was just there today as a matter of fact (1+ / 0-)

I live right down the road from the Von Mises Institute in Auburn, Alabama. It is one of only two Austrian School think tanks in the United States.

    •  It's too bad most people here (4+ / 0-)

aren't going to spend any time examining how the current economic system has failed us.

As though Kangas is the be all end all of all arguments against our woeful economic system?

As usual most people are going to jump on this and swallow it whole. Never going to challenge their perceptions. This is mindless cheer leading. This is what Republicans do as well.

I'm not saying you should vote for Ron Paul or the gold standard, but dear god spend some time and look at the state of the system and how it works. If you think this is a fair economic system you're nuts.

Glass Steagall came down under Clinton. His economic team comprised of a fiercely pro-business, anti-regulation (as in don't even bother investigating fraud) cult which included Greenspan, Rubin, Summers and Geithner.

Obama placed derivatives of this bunch on his economic team.

I mean enough with the rationalizations. At least call bullshit when you see it otherwise you're just a hypocrite like Republicans. Only ask for accountability when it suits your vote.

is that the Austrian school of economics has its roots in fascism.
