    he Nazis also had their reamament and war efforts to end the depression in the German economy of the 1930s. And, in reference to Escamillo's comment:

    Given that war spending is what ultimately ended the Great Depression, I question the notion that pacifism inherently helps the economy or inherently helps a particular side in "class war".  I also question the notion that "pro-war"* inherently benefits a particular side in "class war" while hurting the other side.  We saw from WWII spending that war spending can be beneficial to all economic classes.

    some people benefited. Some didn't (understatement).

    I think that comment is highly debatable, and therefore worthy of debate.

    H'mm. I'm not terribly into this, anymore.
