    What we need to remember is that the lust for money and the lust for power are different.  Some people lust for the former to achieve the latter.  But, the lust for money is accumulative, while the lust for power is destructive.  That's because, to be felt, power has to hurt.  So, those who lust for the power to rule the nation (or the globe) need to destroy government by the people.  Not only that, but the people have to be injured (deprived of their rights) to make them realize that they are being ruled.  When Santorum and company "promise" to deprive certain segments of the population of their rights, it's only because the agenda to deprive everyone wouldn't sell.
