    ...that they didn't write "the right of the people to keep and bear muskets, swords and club/canes shall not be infringed."  They used the term "arms," as a broad category of weapons.

    I actually suspect that they thought pretty highly of individual firearms -- as those are largely what won their Revolution for them.  By this time, swords were not the primary weapon for soldiers, nor were clubs or canes.

    It was firearms.
