  •  These would be temporary signs (11+ / 0-)

According to the table at the end of the ordinance they have a thirty-day limit. And a size limit of 32 square feet.

    •  Indeed they would be temporary signs. (3+ / 0-)

However, it looks like the ordinance applies more to commercial signage than political signage...as it should.

In the ordinance, it wasn't clear to me when one could put out political signs...but they're supposed to be removed 7 days after the election.  I found it interesting that the ordinance (at least, I couldn't find it) made no exception for placement of political signs on public property on election day; i.e. at a polling place.

The issue faced by the volunteers was as much where they could place their signs, as it was the size; clearly the 4" nonsense is/was...pure nonsense.

That's because there is already a state law about that.  There's no need to also have a local ordinance too.

        •  Okay. Thank you. (1+ / 0-)

That makes perfect sense; though, from my experience, local ords. usually mimic/mirror State regs., and have cites.

I admit though, I was looking more for wording specific to the local situation...so, I may have missed the cites, if there were any.
