The sheriff stated his support for Governor Walker

    and
“But it’s been drilled into my head that a town cannot support a candidate”

Is he not, as sheriff, representing the town, and in stating his support for Gov. Walker while standing on public land and acting as a public servant of the town, actively supporting a candidate (assuming the recall goes through, and by his extremely loose definition of what constitutes supporting a candidate on public land)?

"On their backs were vermiculate patterns that were maps of the world in its becoming. Maps...of a thing which could not be put back. Not be made right again."
