  •  I did the same thing, and a little advice from (5+ / 0-)

my days. I had grants and school loans pay for the first year of community college. So it took one year to get the first year done. But I was broke all the time, so I decided to work in the day and go to school at night for the second year.  Took me 3 years to finish my second year of school and get my associates, and I was still broke all the time. So use the loans and grants to stay at school full time. It's a lot easier. I transferred to get my B.S., but after getting my A.A.S., I was able to get an entry level job, and after the first year, i was elgible for tuition assistance, so thats how I paid for the last two years. took me a few years to finish, I could handle two courses a semester at night, and I took the summers off. Advice #2, don't take the summers off, just power thruough the classes. Summer classes are a little shorter and easier on the load. I ended up paying for my last class, just to get it done instead of waiting for the next year's tuition. glad to get it done. good luck in your endeavors!!!
