    the whole thing by sweeping a whole lot of shit under the rug (concussions, head injuries, the undue influence of Canadians, etc).

    Which was sad, because most of those things could be worked into a political analogy.

      that all about?  Does anyone talk about the undue influence of Americans in baseball?

      Hockey is our game.  Of course there's a huge Canadian influence.  That's one thing.  But calling that influence undue is something else entirely.  

      OTOH, you're right about the concussions.  A good start would be banning the football-style shoulder pads.

        US universities contradict their mission statements and endorse climate denial, racism, sexism, and partisan lying by broadcasting sports on Limbaugh radio stations.
