When I was looking for a new bathroom sink, I had a multitude of options, but most of them wouldn't fit the space (it's a pretty small bathroom).

So it boiled down to paying $250+ to special order a pedestal sink that would fit the space and buying a faucet, or spending $100 to buy a kit that included the faucet, trap, sink and pedestal.

The thing is, the $250+ sink was basically the same design as the $100, just a fancy brand name on it.

I bought the $100 one. It looks great. It fits the space perfectly - right width, right height, everything.

Shoes are another area - I don't spend a lot on shoes, unless they fit like they were made for my feet.

Most of the shoes that fit that way I find at Payless or Target, or maybe KMart. And they rarely cost more than $30. Apparently everybody who buys really stylish and expensive shoes has bound feet and tons of money, because they're always too narrow and expensive for me. They often don't look much different, but they sure cost more.

      - for the most part.  A $100 pair of heels will fall apart just as fast as a $10 pair of heels.

(The exception for me has been boots - I snagged a pair of genuine Timberlands for $25 on end of season clearance once.  Original price tag $125.  Those things are on year five and have absolutely 0 wear in the tread.. and are still waterproof.)

Keep your religion out of my government.
