  •  Lutz's Fears Come True - From GOP Candidates (6+ / 0-)

This makes Romney's competitors' flood of crocidile tears about  'getting rich on failure', or 'firing people for fun and profit', so inconceivably ironic.

Then again, perhaps this is just an example of Frank Luntz's fear about the impact of OWS on the reputational standing of what has passed for "capitalism" in the Untied States in the last 30 years.

“scared of this anti-Wall Street effort. I’m frightened to death.” The pollster warned that the movement is “having an impact on what the American people think of capitalism.”

    Luntz's prescription for GOPers included:

    – Don’t Mention Capitalism: Luntz said that his polling research found that “The public…still prefers capitalism to socialism, but they think capitalism is immoral. And if we’re seen as defenders of quote, Wall Street, end quote, we’ve got a problem.”

    – Empathize With The 99 Percent Protesters: Luntz instructed attendees to tell protesters that they “get it”: “First off, here are three words for you all: ‘I get it.’ … ‘I get that you’re. I get that you’ve seen inequality. I get that you want to fix the system.”

It's not just the 'sheep' that are signing on with the message that our current economic system is immoral, it's those true defenders of the faith, the GOP Presidential candidates.

In their desperate hunger to score points on Romney, by sinc-ing their message to the rising temper of the people,  the most loyal cheerleaders and agents of the 1% are singing the OWS song.

And that my friends is music to my ears.

Someone in a very expensive suit is at the front door and says he wants to foreclose on our democracy. Where should I tell him he can put his robosigning pen?
