much worse than this.  I don't think this is the comment that warrants jumping on.  In the first place, he was talking about being able to shop around for health insurance.  That's something hardly anyone can actually do now, but we will in 2014 when the provision of ACA kicks in and insurance companies won't be able to deny us coverage due to pre-existing conditions, so we won't be held hostage anymore.
But then Spoon quotes Fallows actually saying that Romney said he "enjoys firing people,"  when he actually said he "likes being able to fire people."

James Fallows postulates that it's because he used the word "enjoy" in the context of the act of firing someone--an act that should in no way be enjoyable for the person on either end of the pink slip, if they have any empathy.

I'm sorry, but this is the sort of thing the Repubs do with our guys' statements.  We don't need to reach.  There's plenty of other low-hanging fruit when it comes to Romney's vile remarks.
I think the way to approach this statement is more like, "Gov. Romney likes being able to fire his insurance company?  Well, that's great, because most of us with pre-eisting conditions can't do that, but that's exactly what Obamacare will allow us to do, starting in 2014."

Unfortunately, President Obama doesn't have time to read DK, so contact him here: The White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20500 (Postcards, not letters! Please give your email address) -- 202-456-1111 -- FAX: 202-456-2461
