  •  I've only ever known Republican hate (4+ / 0-)

As a member of the under 30 crowd, rightwing hatred it all I've ever known in the political arena. All I've ever heard is right wingers saying things about how I'm a traitor, ignorant, etc. and then I watch them, when they aren't engaging in hypocrisy, tearing apart – bit by bit – everything that makes America what it is.

Sometimes I'm sad I wasn't really old enough to see what it was like during the Reagan years, which is when Republicans  began turning into monsters, but there were still enough of the old guard to look out of America's best interests. So I'm told, at least.

I know lots of conservative people. One of my dearest friends and the guy I consider my mentor is a right wing whack-a-doodle, but that hardly matters. He's a straight up good guy.

But the elected people. I don't know what it is a out them. Washington seems to bring out the worst in everybody. I suppose it's just a matter of conservatives already possessing more selfish, negative traits which they're then encouraged to amplify once in DC. I don't know.

It doesn't matter though. One party talks about creating new programs that they claim will help America. The other party wants to outright destroy almost all existing programs and let people fight it out.
You'll pardon me for saying that Republicans want to destroy America, when their entire platform is based on dismantling what's already in place and doing otherwise nothing.

    My style is impetuous.
    My defense is impregnable.
