    Because of the lowering of US wages against the rest of the world, more manufacturing will be done in the US. Expect more European companies to move production here because of reduced labor costs.

    Within 5 years, + or -, jobs will be coming back from China because of the low costs of American labor and the rising costs of Chinese labor.

      His statement was pretty interesting. Exactly the right tone. Aspirational, yet very honest and pragmatic. Look it out at

      If that were the case, several affluent European countries with higher export/GDP ratios than China could not succeed.

      Does it help the US that Chinese percapita income rises from 1/6 of US to 1/5? Yes, it helps India, Pakistan and Vietnam where some of those very low wage Chinese jobs are migrating, and it helps China to develop more domestic consumption and the US to export to China (fastest growing US export market).

      US wages are far above Chinese and will remain so for years.

      What about my Daughter's future?
