I'm mightily impressed they are putting their money where their mouth is and doing it at all.

It's gutsy all right — not only making the move but announcing it — although, when one thinks about it, giving Redditors a more diversion-free Wednesday to call & write Congress at the same time that Ohanian & company testify makes sense in terms of letting the entire community coordinate its efforts.

At the same time, Zuckerberg & the guys at Google & Mozilla run on a different model with different resources, assumptions, & strategies — such that unlike an open blog they don't necessarily want to give any free viewings of their playbook (in case you prefer football analogies to poker). We Kossacks & others likely won't know exactly what the Silicon Valley big-shots cook up & when until it's already happening.

(...& BTW, the poll was something of an afterthought having more to do with the general "Internet strike" concept than any particular action — & is certainly not meant as criticism of anyone, if that's what you meant.)

Tell Congress: DON'T BREAK THE INTERNET!
