    Of course there's high costs.  Though in many cases they'll settle down once the deferred maintenance is caught up.

    Hobbs got on that plan, and had both hips replaced last year.  He wouldn't be walking (much) without it.  If they'd sold him insurance over all the years they refused to, they would have collected like $100K over time.  Instead, they forked out the money for two hip replacements in the first 6 months of coverage.
