  •  We have one nearby (6+ / 0-)

but we rarely go there, because it's in the same center as Panera Bread which has become our new favorite. You can actually eat there fairly healthily if you can pass up the pastries -- many of their soups are quite hearty and not too calorie taxing, and you can get a small apple instead of chips or bread for a side. The "Pick 2" is also good, cup of soup and half salad. And they're very detailed on their menu when it comes to calorie counts, which isn't always a good thing especially if I'm thinking macaroni and cheese.

    •  I'm gluten intolerant (5+ / 0-)

which makes Panera a bad option for me and Five Guys a great one -- the buns are the only gluten in the place AFAIK (based on their website) and the burgers are just fine without a bun. As long as I have someone to share fries with, it's not even that bad caloriewise. Without sharing...well, I can try to exert some self-control, but that's a little iffy.
