the facts, but must instead dispute them as "hysterical", it's pretty clear who is arguing credibly.

Your argument is a complete straw man. Neither "Medicare for all" nor a public option was going to get those 60 votes in the Senate, and there is not anything Obama or anyone else could have done about it. You can keep trying to change the subject, but neither you nor anyone else has proposed a believable scenario under which any--much less all--of those five Senators would have supported a PO.

Nice indignant moral high horse, though. Lends a real cachet to your whole deal.

You are complaining that Dallasdoc won't argue the facts?

You are ignoring the most important fact:

President Obama negotiated away the PO in the early stages of the HCR process and then continued to pay lip service to the idea that he wanted to include it in HCR.

This has been confirmed by multiple sources; not the least of which was Daschle's book.

That you won't even address this point is informative of your purpose here.

The story that "Obama torpedoed a public option" is a myth, a calumny, and a lie.

That reads as pretty hysterical to me.  My argument is not a straw man, but was the biggest revelation in a book written by the man who was supposed to be Obama's HHS secretary until his taxes got in the way.  A man who nonetheless was a close White House advisor on health care reform.  So I'll take Tom Daschle's word on the matter over yours, because you don't know a damn thing about it.

But your usual ad hominem bull$hit is at least consistent, I'll give you that.
