cannot be HIGHER than the cost of inflation.

I work for the state. I not only haven't had a real raise in years (only small cost-of-living increases), but last biennial they TOOK AWAY the small cost-of-living increase. Then Walker stole my deferred compensation so I walk away about $6,000 poorer every year on top of the stagnant wages.

I have my terminal degree. I have worked in my field since 1991. I'll never make more than I make now. When the University staff that do for the University what I teach students to do bills units at the University for the work they've done, they bill out at $60/hr. I work a 50 to 70 hr week, depending on what I have to do, and I work off contract in the summer because work needs to be done. However, if I do the math for a 40 hour week on a 9 month contract (way less time than I work), I would be paid nearly $94,000. I make just over half of that.

When I retired, I was paid $5-7 less per hour than I would have been paid in the private sector.  He not only doesn't respect public employees, he hates us and takes delight in peeling away as much as he can and making the lives of those who serve the public a misery.  Like most of the GOP, he wants tax dollars to get into private hands through privatizing government services.

Their math is wrong.  They would pay way, way more than they do now.  After all, government services provided by the actual government don't include "profits".  Over the years Walker tried to privatize the health center when I worked at the prison.  Even the lowest bidder came out with costs more than double what Milwaukee County was already paying, yet he kept right on trying to privatize.

There already is class warfare in America. Unfortunately, the rich are winning.
