    in my grade school, late '60s. I enjoyed it very much then. A few years ago I picked up a copy at my favourite used book store and re-read it. And yes, I also picked up most of the flaws the diarist notes that I didn't pick up back then. Still, a very compelling story. I passed that copy along to one of my nieces.

    Today, I get much of the same entertainment and ideas from the Discworld novels of Terry Prachett.
