  •  the point is simple: (4+ / 0-)

We are programmed to go vote, and a turn out of 60+% in an election is not really that bad.

However, getting a petition together, signed, etc, is a far different thing. People have to actively take a step, with conscious decision-making, doing something that does NOT come naturally, something that has not been programmed into us each and every year. Gathering 1/3 of the voting population's signatures to support a recall of a powerful, well funded, and media protected politician - that is one hell of an accomplishment.

Comparing the votes his opponent received to the number of signatures is like comparing the spring price for Dakota winter wheat with the Red Sox' 2011 team earned run average. There probably is some correlation, but statistics also create a lot of coincidental noise.

What we call god is merely a living creature with superior technology & understanding. If their fragile egos demand prayer, they lose that superiority.
