    is that you're deliberately limiting the size of the set of data points, which drives down the utility of any sort of generalization.  The more restricted your data set, the less likely that any sort of real generalization can be drawn from it, which is why we use things like 'moving averages' rather than freaking out over short term spikes.

    But, to be honest, any 'present day' that includes the timeframe of 2000-2011 is still going to show far more Muslim deaths caused by Christians than the reverse, thanks to the wars of aggression Bush started.
