It's good to know that the majority of Americans still correctly place the blame at George Bush's feet.

Bush's terms in office were like a hurricane or snowstorm that if you lived through it you never forget it. His eight years won't be easily forgotten.

Just like Herbert Hoover will always have the Great Depression hung around his neck, so, too, will Bush hold the title of worst president of our lifetimes.

Notice there hasn't even been an attempt at public rehabilitation for Bush. The man has all but disappeared from the public eye. Even Nixon three years out of office was making appearances.

I wonder how the GOP will handle him at their convention, especially in contrast to our side, where President Clinton will no doubt get a plum, primetime speaking gig.

How about I believe in the unlucky ones?

      will he precede McCain? Palin?

maybe Lieberman will be invited but not Bush.

      •  I think this is a real PR problem for the GOP. (3+ / 0-)

The fact is, they almost have to let Bush speak in primetime, don't they? If they don't, that's a real slap in the face to Bush and a genuine admission that he was a disaster.

And there's no way to finesse it, either. He either gets a primetime slot, or he doesn't.
