how does "i'm not scared of this guy" equal "I don't have to do anything to make sure obama is reelected"??

Where on earth do you get that I'm underestimating ANYTHING?

Look, if you're scared that's fine. I'm not. Bottom line is nothing's guaranteed. and yes, we have to work just like their side will have to. It's an election for fucks sake. But I just don;t understand how it is that that insipid phrase gets repeated over and over and over on a blog like daily kos where there's a community or exceptionally (almost unnaturally) politically active people. People who do politics as a hobby like some people do sports or diving. I mean really NO ONE HERE IS COMPLACENT. Not NOW, Not ever. And if you want to talk about 2004, I'd bet you any amount of money that although people here might have voiced "how could people vote for bush again" I'd bet you ANYTHING that no one here participated any LESS because of that idea.

I'd bet you. I'd bet they were just as active in phone banking, canvassing, donating as they'd ever been ALL WHILE saying "I can;t see how anyone votes for Bush again..."

Nobody here is complacent. Not now. Not 10 months from now. Not in 2004.

I've become re-radicalized. Thanks a lot you bunch of oligarchical fascist sons-of-bitches. But once again, I have no choice. Bring it the fuck on.
