    For my part, I get 100% renewable electricity (thanks to living in a forward thinking part o the country where that's even possible) and have offsets for my driving and natural gas use as an interim measure until the next car, which will be electric.

    Otherwise, buy local and stop/reduce eating meat (with great health benefits!)

      this is a place where a little government leadership would work wonders. A drop.  There are things that governments can do well. Making big sweeping infrastructure changes easier on the populace is one of them. Financing those changes more quickly and comprehensively is another.

      But, OMG, that would require government spending!
