marginal rate? nominal effective rate? or a true effective rate which includes payroll taxes that the rich don't like to count when, you know, the 46% are paying them.

It will be interesting to see.

This debate, how our citizenry should be taxed is a debate we need to have in this country.  Too much is smoke and mirrors and too many in the 99% and 10% and 5% and even 1% understand too little about how the .01% are taxed, or not taxed, as the case actually is.

Newt Gingrich: Believes marriage is between one man and a series of ever younger women. Wife #1 born ~ 1936, divorced when in her mid-40s...Wife #2 born ~1947, divorced when in her mid-40s...Wife #3 born ~1966.

Betcha anything he's using some creative accounting to arrive at that supposed 31%.  Either that or he means he's in the 31% bracket before deductions.  I'll be shocked if he actually paid that much.

I love that Newt Gingrich is trying to play the common man card.  I wonder how many of the audience members at his rallies have $500K credit lines at Tiffany's?
