  •  The Republicans don't have anything else (5+ / 0-)

I mean, what can the Rethugs do, talk about the Republican economic plan for growth?

Talk about the scary terrorists (talk which is filled with more subtle forms of racism).

The president took Osama Bin Laden off of the table.

The economy is off of the table.

Racism is all that they have. Personally, I think that most people will be repulsed at how overt it is, some of them Republican

    •  Actually (5+ / 0-)

the economy is on the table. It's probably going to be the deciding factor in the fall. This is part of their economic plan--blame someone else so that no one will notice that they don't have solutions.

      It's the policy stupid

      •  That's just it.... (5+ / 0-)

I understand what you're saying and if Europe goes under all bets are off but you didn't see the FP story that the overwhelming majority of people blame the economy on George W. Bush and not Obama.

And any economic plans that the president has proposed...the Republicans have blocked it.

As far as a talking point of what they WOULD do with the economy, all they can do is rehash the same ol' bullshit and it won't fly.

          W. isn't running and the GOP doesn't seem to be talking about him much so I don't know how much that is going to play in the fall. If they are smart W. will "have other priorities" when the GOP convention rolls around. I've seen these polls before yet they don't always translate into votes the way you might think they would.

Or so they say.  They will go with the economy hard. It won't work (I hope) but that's what they'll go with

After all, the racist vote is already in the bag, so they won't need to shore that up.  Romney will avoid Gingrichs kind of talk.  Hell think it, but he won't say it
