  •  That will be a dificult decision for the Dems (0+ / 0-)

to make.  The Senate primary is on Thursday of convention week.

    •  Doesn't sound too difficult (6+ / 0-)

I don't think Prof. Warren will have significant primary opposition at that point, and what better way to showcase her for a difficult race.  The framing she'll provide for the party in a general election campaign will be invaluable, as well.  If anybody can talk populist better than Obama, it's Elizabeth Warren.

      •  As of now, Marisa DeFranco and James King. (0+ / 0-)

On Monday of convention week, the Dem nominee won't officially be chosen yet.

Bob Massie, Alan Khazei, and Setti Warren were the only candidates who could have given Elizabeth Warren a run for it, and they all dropped out last fall in the face of her basically being handed the nomination by the Democratic powers that be.

          •  Maybe not, but they're fellow Democrats (0+ / 0-)

after all.  Should the DNC "showcase" one candidate above the others before Mass. voters have made their decision?  I believe Ms. Warren would have too much class, and too much respect for DeFranco and King, to allow that to happen.

            •  It's not her decision necessarily (1+ / 0-)

Several more seasoned candidates bailed when they saw her fundraising.

              •  Obviously if the others drop out too, (0+ / 0-)

and she stands unopposed, it would be a no-brainer.  But I don't understand your comment:

                It's not her decision necessarily

If she's offered the chance OF COURSE it's her decision whether to accept or not.
