    As a "numbers" guy, he was not even especially good at that. He was all "gee whiz" and "ooh wow" and "look at me manipulate these graphics" and very little insightful in the way of analysis.

    I recall him saying something along the lines of "50 is more than 49" or somesuch and the clowns around him all nodding their heads as if the Master had spoken.

    Chuckles was, is, and always will be in over his head so long as he is pretending to be a real journalist.

    Ratings privileges revoked without explanation during the Great Purge. So, consider yourself recommended or hidden as you think you should be.

      I don't think he was over his head then, or now. The stats in that book and his conclusions based on them were revelatory.

      He takes politics seriously - as a careful student - and is disinclined to be as rude to the other side as we are. As a professional political reporter, he can't afford to be dismissive and blithe.

      Obama and strong Democratic majorities in 2012!
