  •  So your argument comes down to a 20-year old (0+ / 0-)

memo and a speech at Harvard. The memo is indeed ridiculous but it's so ridiculous that it couldn't be possibly written seriously.

I cannot imagine on what basis you would say "it's so ridiculous it can't be serious".  I see nothing that looks like a joke here.

This guy has a long history of complete insensitivity to people.  As I recall the faculty finally threw him out of Harvard.  Obama keeps bad company all right, but it isn't Rev. Wright or Van Jones that's the problem.  And it's not revolving-door lobbyists. It's the clubhouse of immoral slimy bankers.  I'm really sick of them.

Here's an idea: how about the people run the government and the corporations can line up for whatever we leave for them.

    •  Did you actually read through ... (0+ / 0-)

      for example:

To be clear, this "memo" is not enough grounds for fighting Summers, but it is something that does merit discussion. And, if it was satire, that discussion should help foster a discussion of smart policy moving forward.

And, by the way, there are links to other significant issues within the diary ...

Are you suggesting that Summers doesn't have significant issues that aren't even in the closet?
