    I am curious as to which very specific state or federal law makes this actionable conduct? It is certainly wrong, but I wonder what specific statute makes the plaintiffs think they can win?

      Although, not being a lawyer, I doubt that individual workers are protected as people who trade their time for recompense.

      Effectively, the companies put a cap on what the class of "employees" could earn. As well as any say in their own futures (who they work for, what they get paid.)

      It may or may not be legal, but it sure as hell is wrong.


      Today, if you exist... that's already suspicious.
