On April 14, 2009, Andrew B. Adler (Metro Jewish News) acquired the Atlanta Jewish Times, with a staff of five and a subscribership of only 3,500. After his takeover the website jtonline.us ceased to be updated.

In late October 2009, the AJT moved to a new office, though they remained in the Dunwoody area. As of the end of that month, the paper's staff had expanded to 10, with new employees taken on for sports coverage and advertising coordination.

Considering that a fair fraction must go toward printing and mailing costs I believe that I can say safely that the operation is not profitable.

Their website is dreadful. Last obit was July.

The Editorial in question is not to be found.

    I'm done dredging.

...whether the paper is profitable or not.  No newspaper pays its bills with subscription and newsstand sales -- advertising dollars is what keeps them afloat.  But the circulation of this rag is tiny -- Mitt Romney's xmas card list is probably larger.
